Case studies
Lansdowne House, Mayfair
Client: CO-RE
Size: 225,000 sq ft of premium commercial office space, 14,000 sq ft of retail and restaurant space
The challenge: Tailoring the property and services to meet the demands of Blackstone, the main incoming occupier.
The plan: The redevelopment will include new amenities for modern occupiers, including an outdoor rooftop terrace that incorporates greening and biodiversity, and balconies on every floor overlooking Berkeley Square. The basement will have 480 cycle spaces with showers, lockers and changing facilities.
The goal: The building will aspire to attain the highest possible sustainability standards and achieve an 'outstanding' BREEAM and 4.5-star NABERS rating.
Completion date: 2027
The Edge, Shoreditch
Client: Edge — Mitsui Fudosan
Size: 480,000 sq ft of commercial office space, affordable workspace and retail
The challenge: Edge Shoreditch will be an exemplary workplace with an emphasis on high quality amenities. This will be the most technically advanced building of its age and will offer a sophisticated, smart approach to environmental control and overall customer experience.
The plan: We've provided full facilities management design advice from stage 2 and 3, working through solutions and advising on design aspects to ensure the building lives up to its own high standards. Post-completion, this enables the building management team to deliver and expand on the high aspirations set out at the concept design stage.
The goal: The site intends to deliver Paris-Proof operational net zero energy consumption from day one, not just by 2050, implementing principles of embodied carbon and circularity.
Completion date: 2028
St Giles, Museum Street, Bloomsbury
Client: SIMTEN
Size: 177,000 sq ft of commercial office space, retail and mixed residential units
The challenge: Carry out a complete design review to ensure facilities management requirements are fully considered and built into the design process from stage 2.
The plan: The development will transform the local area bringing with it a new vibrancy and energy, which is being captured in the design and emulated in the management delivery plans for the completed site.
The goal: The building will aspire to attain the highest possible sustainability standards and have a community engagement programme that delivers real social value through connection and collaboration.
